What we collect
Account information can include your email address and a verified account identifier. A profile can include your preferred name, life stage, province, mobility, subjects, approximate marks, study or work context and career goal. Assessment data includes selected answers, progress and results. Do not enter identity numbers, home addresses, health details, financial documents or passwords into profile fields.
How we use it
We use profile and assessment data to save progress and produce explained career, subject and study comparisons. Pathfinder does not use AI chat, send answers to external language models, sell personal information or make admission and employment decisions.
Reports and CVs
If you use CV studio, we save the contact details, education, experience, skills and achievements you enter. Your report formats use your saved assessment results. Profile, CV and assessment records are encrypted in private Supabase storage and linked to your verified account. Payment access is stored separately as server-managed account data. Exporting a report or CV creates a document on your device. Pathfinder does not automatically send it to parents, schools or employers. You decide who receives it.
Account security
Supabase processes password verification and one-time sign-in links; Pathfinder does not store passwords. Session cookies use Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite controls. Login and recovery attempts are rate limited. Vercel serves the site over HTTPS and applies transport and browser-security headers.
Payments
Paystack processes payment details on its hosted page. Pathfinder receives a payment reference and verification result so it can activate the correct access tier. We do not collect or store card numbers.
Sharing and service providers
Data is processed only by providers needed to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, Vercel for hosting and Paystack for payment. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or where needed to protect the service and its users.
Retention and deletion
Saved profiles and assessment progress remain available while the account is active. You can erase the career profile and clear assessment answers from the product. For account or payment-data requests, email pathfinderzar@gmail.com. Security logs and provider backups may persist for limited periods.
Learners and guardians
The current account flow is restricted to adults while guardian-consent and child-data procedures are completed. Learners may view public information with a parent, guardian or educator. Do not create an account for a child by falsely confirming adulthood.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information by emailing us. We may ask you to verify control of the account before acting.
Career and university information
Salary, demand, fee and entry information changes. Source dates and links are provided where available. Treat results as guidance and confirm current requirements directly with institutions, employers and professional bodies.
